Baseball is a sport that requires a very unique kind of fitness. There is much less emphasis on endurance than there is on explosive speed and very individual and articulate skill sets. As a hitter, gaining strength will improve overall bat speed which equates into balls getting out of the infield faster and traveling further. To be a good defender, you must be agile, quick, and possess good body control that will translate into more caught balls and the ability to field balls before they get into the gaps. In order to be a top of the rotation pitcher, you need have good balance, good hip mobility, and make sure your arm is properly cared for so you can stay healthy throughout the course of the season.
Peak Performance is a complete off-season workout program that is specifically designed for youth baseball players to enhance their ability on the diamond and prepare for their upcoming season. Led by former Colorado Rockies’ pitcher Ricky Testa, Peak Performance uses state-of-the-art training methods that concentrates solely on baseball-related movements to allow each athlete to progressively improve their speed, quickness, strength, agility, explosiveness, hip mobility, body control, and balance. Coach Testa will also focus on building arm strength and teach the players how to properly take care of your arm in order to prevent an injury.
